Jansen HS-12L53 is a very powerful and compact horizontal wood splitter. It has a real load of 12 tons and a very reliable overhead valve petrol engine with a power of 6.5 HP.
The splitting pressure of our splitters is measured directly on the splitter, so this information also corresponds to the actual splitting pressure. Many other suppliers quote unrealistic values that are never achieved in practice.
The maximum length of the cut material can be 50 cm.
The wood splitter is extremely easy to use. The engine starts very easily with the recoil starter and starts perfectly even in sub-zero temperatures.
To facilitate movement, the device has a drawbar (without ball hitch). Jansen HS-12L53 is not approved for transport on public roads. D
ue to its small overall width (approx. 84 cm), the device can also be transported on a regular trailer.
The set includes a splitting cross with a mounted splitting knife that simply attaches to the splitting wedge. Switching between wedge and cross is done in seconds!
Using a splitting wedge or a splitting cross, thicker logs with larger diameters can also be split in one operation. The special feature of this device is that the splitting wedge/splitting cross is firmly mounted and the wood is pressed against it using a cylinder. If a piece gets stuck on a cross, you can usually just push the next piece! This means you can work quickly and efficiently.
The hydraulics are designed in such a way that the splitting knife can be stopped in any position and moved forward or backward.
The force is always present and the separating knife does not have to be returned to its original position repeatedly, as is the case with many competing products.
Jansen HS-12L53 is equipped with a high-quality Kohler engine.

The device is delivered well packed in a wooden box and disassembled. Assembly takes approximately 1 hour. The scope of delivery includes an operating manual in German. The first filling of the device requires approximately 8 liters of HLP46 hydraulic oil. The engine consumes approximately 0.7 liters of engine oil. Here we recommend multigrade oil with a classification of 10W40 or 15W40.
